H1N1

Mommy Laura's former student, Hannah, is now a public health nurse in Toronto. She was assigned to the Vaccine Clinic this weekend so I went and got my second H1N1 shot from her. Hannah spoiled me with stickers and 2 lollipops! Thanks again Hannah!

Snow and Teeth

Our first snow. and my first scarf knitted by mommy laura's friend Katherine. You may notice there's a bit of pink in it ;)

Hair

This is my new friend, Leah. My mommy had her specially made just for me.

My first 'real' haircut (other than the trimming my teacher Louisa did at the daycare for me). I enjoyed seeing the snips of hair fall onto the cape.

Go NY Go: "Hello, do you like my hat?"

Mommy Laura, Daddy Pat and I recently went to the Big Apple so Mommy Laura could give a talk and I could have fun exploring. Daddy Pat and I went to the the American Museum of Natural History. On Saturday, Nonnie Liz and Grandpa Bill took me out for most of the day and we had cupcakes, hit up a children's bookstore, toystore, and most importantly Nonnie Liz got me a very pink sweatshirt from the GAP. Mommy Laura thinks a little pink in the wardrobe is probably a good idea- just not everything- like every other girl my age out there.

Just a little time away

My mommy Laura has been very busy lately with things. and this includes taking some pictures of me to post on here. Hopefully, Grandpa Wagner will send a picture from their trip, or Aunt Tah Tah too. She promises to post a picture of me very soon.

Update: here is a picture from our visit with Aunt Tah Tah and Grandma McDonald. We went to the farmer's market and also celebrated grandma's birthday with some chocolate cake

Tomatoes

This weekend I went up north to cottage country to process tomatoes with my friends Isaac, Ellie, and Gabe. 8 bushels of tomatoes. Well, actually I only spent about 20 minutes helping. Thankfully Daddy Pat tagged along and we went to 2 fairs, jumped on the trampoline, swam in the hot tub, and took a hike to see a waterfall. I had so much fun while Mommy Laura canned almost 200 jars of tomatoes, sauce, and salsa with her friend Marcia. Thanks Daddy Pat for having fun with me!

These are the last of the tomatoes from our house

School Days

I started at my new school yesterday. I must have had so much fun because when Mommy Laura picked me up in the afternoon I said to her "I want to go back tomorrow." And, I love riding in the bike trailer with Daddy Pat.

One door closes.... another opens

For the past 2.5 years Mommy Laura and I have been trekking up to her work and my daycare center. Through the rain, snowstorms, and hot sun we traveled together just the two of us side-by-side. From Christie Subway to St. George then transfer up to Yorkdale, then a 10 minute walk across a beautiful park. And back again in the afternoon. All of this together, just the 2 of us, on the 45 minute-each way journey. Daddy Pat joined us on the final leg. It took us nearly 6 hours to complete it. Good thing he wasn't doing this every day- or we'd never get home for dinner (and he'd never get to work).... Stopping along the way to do all the things we would look at on our daily trip....

I'm going to miss my friends at daycare and all the people and things we saw along the way. But I'm looking forward to my new Montessori school and my new teachers and friends. And Daddy Pat will be riding me on his bike. Oh what fun.

Beat the Heat

Mommy Laura's belly button wasn't "feeling well" so first I wrote on it with a marker and then made it feel better with some 'mecicine' (also known as lotion). this is what it resulted in:

writing on the wall outside of our apartment.

taking a break from the wading pool at Christie Pits.

Harvesting

We've started harvesting from our tiny city garden plot in the back yard. We made pickles on friday with the cucumbers, green beans (seeds from Uncle Pete and Aunt Lisa), spicy peppers, tomatoes, and my favorite--- blackberries.

Jam and Bread

Our trip to the strawberry farm this week. Nothing better than homemade jam on homemade bread (a catch from Craigslist).

now all we need is some tea with bread and jam. or is it tea with jam and bread?
