Exploring

Here I am eating some most delicious lentil burgers on a kid-size folding table Mommy Laura got that someone was throwing away.

Here I am on my new bike seat that I inherited from "MorganJohn"

We are starting to plant our garden. This is especially fun when shoveling dirt is involved.

Nonnie Iz and Grandpa Bill sent me these in the mail. They are really cool matching puzzle cards.

Out and About

Yesterday was such a beautiful day to be outside (though it was a tad chilly and windy). Mommy Laura and I mowed the back yard, smelled the lavendar next door, watered the blackberries with my new watering can from Uncle Pete and Aunt Lisa, and took a ride to the grocery store in our new wagon- graciously given to me by our neighbors who have outgrown it. I think we'll be getting a lot of use out of the wagon this summer.

Good night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite.

The most important person in Mommy Laura's life peacefully died this morning. Grandma Hollenbeck was 93 years old and couldn't have asked for a better life. Mommy Laura will always remember her sleeping over every Christmas Eve, the red hot water bottle at her feet, picking black raspberries and strawberries, baking cookies and corn meal mush, chewing fresh mint and spitting it out, freshening up the bird bath in the summer and feeding them in the winter, hanging clothes on the line, walking back to the big rock, meeting me for the very first time and not forgetting my name even at the very end.

"Flordida"

Mommy Laura and I are in Flordida at a conference. I had a lot of fun at the playground, chasing the birds, and playing in the ocean.
